Restorative Dental Services

Our restorative dental services at Union Family Dental will help you make your smile brilliant. While it’s not uncommon for your teeth to deteriorate in color and appearance after years of wear and tear or injury, that doesn’t mean that has to be the norm. Let our team rejuvenate your smile through our many restorative dental options.

Cosmetic Fillings

When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, dentists replace it with a filling. Thanks to advancements in the field, amalgam (silver) is no longer used as a filling material during this process.

Instead, you can now have a cosmetic or tooth-colored filling. These fillings match the color of your tooth, making it appear as though the tooth has never been filled.

Crowns

If any of your teeth are discolored, chipped or cracked; or if you experience pain when chewing or temperature sensitivity, then a crown may be the restorative dental solution for you.

Crowns are designed to protect the entire tooth and prevent the tooth from breaking. Your dentist will discuss the option that is best for you – whether it’s a gold crown or a crown that matches your existing tooth color.

Either way, crowns can give you back the look and functionality of your smile and make it look brilliant once again.

At Home Tooth Whitening

If you are happy with the alignment and spacing of your teeth, a tooth whitening procedure may be all that separates you from a bright, white smile.

Your dentist will first take a special mold of your teeth, creating a customized tray that will fit perfectly over your teeth. You will also receive prescription strength whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it. Your Union Family Dental dentist will provide you with detailed instructions about how long you should wear the tray each day. You should expect the entire home whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you with a radiant smile.

Bridges

Missing teeth not only impact your smile, but also the function of your teeth and gums. Missing teeth may cause you to chew differently, and cause mouth pain. Plus, as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the tooth loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse.

Union Family Dental can custom design porcelain bridges to keep your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either side of the missing tooth, are cemented in place, and can match the color of your teeth.

Consider a bridge if you are seeking a long-term restorative solution to your damaged smile.

Dentures

Dentures can restore the smile you think you may have lost. Our team at Union Family Dental will guide you through the process of finding the most advanced, removable dentures that fit your lifestyle and habits.

We’ll create custom dentures, made for you; help you select the shade; and determine the perfect shape. In the end, you’ll walk away with great fitting dentures that look just like real teeth and gain confidence in your smile once again.

Partial Denture

When a bridge is not the best solution, a partial denture is often used. Partial dentures are used if you have one or several teeth missing that cannot be corrected with a bridge. The denture is removable and designed to fit comfortably and blend in with any remaining teeth.

Today’s partial bridges mimic your gum tissue and teeth to create a great looking smile while remaining functional. The partial is important once the teeth have been removed as it preserves the bone and keeps existing teeth from tilting and moving in toward empty spaces.
